Where sardines come from

From playing. Thimbles come from learning and marbles from finding things. None of them come from money.

Today

Sardines, for playing

  • 5 for the first finish of a game’s daily, once per game and day.
  • 1 for a new personal best, in any game that keeps one, at most 5 a day.
  • 25 a day at most, all of it together. The rest of the day is just playing.
  • Nothing for card tables. Blackjack and Hold’em play for the workshop’s buttons, which stay at the table.

The games that pay

GameThe daily (5)A best (1)
Pipe DownToday’s shift, when it endsa new best shift, or a level beaten on a better score
Putting It Offtoday’s hole, holeda hole or the course in fewer strokes
Benchworktoday’s run, won or losta floor you hadn’t reached before
The arcade (every game on the games page’s own table)no dailya new best score in any of them

Every game on games.slopped.site that keeps a best is on the list, the arcade’s table counted as one row. More dailies will pay as they get one. A finish that was already paid for pays nothing, however often it is replayed.

Thimbles, for learning

  • 2 for each quiz passed and 3 for each lab passed on the Slop Curriculum, once per module.
  • 5 for each pathway badge claimed.
  • That makes 220 thimbles in the world: 39 modules and 5 pathways. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

Learn recounts your thimbles from its own record each time you visit it. Badges are credentials, not currency: a thimble counts that you passed, not what you were given for it.

Marbles, for finding things

  • 1 for every secret in your ledger. There are 26 to find.
  • Ferrule pays in marbles. Nothing else does, except the things that hide.

What never earns

No money, no adverts, no streaks, no logging in every day, no chance and nobody else. There are no packs, no prizes and no faster way. Everybody earns the same for the same thing.
